Haute Event: Celebs Ring in a “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” in Times Square
Celebs kept it rockin’ around the clock in Times Square to celebrate 2011. Dick Clark, as always, hosted the New Year’s Eve Ball Drop in Times Square with his now-iconic “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.” There’s no question New York was the place to be to ring in the new year in earnest. The night was filled with special musical performances from some of the year’s biggest stars including Ke$ha and Taio Cruz. The Backstreet Boys also performed, and while they may not have been super hot this year, how can you not love those guys? The original boy band will never Quit Playin’ Games with My Heart.
There were more than a million people were packed inside Times Square to watch the crystal covered ball drop. Celebs in attendance included Ryan Seacrest, Carson Daly, Anderson Cooper, E!’s Guiliana Rancic, Jordan Knight and Jenny McCarthy to name a few.
