Rolls Royce Returns to Monterey Car Week 2026 With Two Extraordinary Bespoke Creations

Rolls Royce returns to Monterey Car Week 2026 with bespoke Black Badge Cullinan and Ghost Golden Era V12 creations.

Rolls Royce Motor Cars is returning to Monterey Car Week 2026 with an exclusive showcase of Bespoke craftsmanship, artistic expression, and highly personalized luxury. Set against the Pacific coastline of Monterey, California, the marque will welcome invited clients and guests to its private Rolls Royce Villa, where intimate gatherings, design consultations, and two exceptional one of one commissions will take center stage.

The two featured creations, Black Badge Cullinan Series II by internationally acclaimed artist Cyril Kongo and Black Badge Ghost Golden Era, demonstrate the extraordinary possibilities available through Rolls Royce Bespoke. Both commissions were created for North American clients and reflect a philosophy in which a motor car becomes much more than a luxury automobile. It becomes a highly personal expression of its owner’s identity, interests, and vision.

For Monterey Car Week 2026, the Rolls Royce Villa will once again serve as the centerpiece of the marque’s presence in California. Located overlooking the Pacific coastline, the private setting has been designed to feel more like an elegant home than a traditional hospitality venue.

The Villa gives invited guests an opportunity to step away from the energy of Monterey Car Week while experiencing the world of Rolls Royce Bespoke firsthand. Clients can meet directly with Rolls Royce designers, Bespoke specialists, and senior leadership while exploring the possibilities of creating a truly individual motor car.

Throughout the week, the Villa will host private events and intimate gatherings centered on craftsmanship, contemporary luxury, and artistic expression. It will also provide the setting for the private delivery of the two Bespoke commissions, each representing months or years of collaboration between individual clients and artisans at the Home of Rolls Royce in Goodwood.

Nick Keen, President and CEO of Rolls Royce Motor Cars North America, described Monterey Car Week as one of the most important moments on the global luxury calendar and emphasized the Villa’s role as a tranquil environment where clients can discover the possibilities of Bespoke craftsmanship.

One of the most anticipated highlights of the Rolls Royce Monterey Car Week 2026 program is Black Badge Cullinan Series II by Cyril Kongo.

Created as a one of one commission in collaboration with French artist Cyril Kongo, the motor car brings together contemporary art and Rolls Royce craftsmanship. Kongo is internationally recognized for transforming graffiti into collectible fine art, and his distinctive artistic language has been translated into an automotive canvas through this highly individual commission.

The imposing presence of the Black Badge Cullinan Series II provides a dramatic foundation for Kongo’s creative vision. Dynamic colors, expressive hand painted artwork, and bespoke detailing transform the SUV into what Rolls Royce describes as a moving work of art, while retaining the refinement associated with the marque.

The artistic treatment continues inside the cabin. Bespoke color treatments, handcrafted finishes, and carefully selected materials extend the visual story throughout the interior, with every element created by Rolls Royce artisans in Goodwood.

The commission also reflects a broader evolution in the world of ultra luxury automobiles. According to Rolls Royce, a new generation of collectors is increasingly interested in creating vehicles that are completely unique and deeply personal. Black Badge Cullinan Series II by Cyril Kongo illustrates this movement by bringing automotive design, contemporary art, craftsmanship, and culture together in a single creation.

The second major reveal at Monterey Car Week 2026 is Black Badge Ghost Golden Era, a one of one commission created for a North American client.

Where the Cyril Kongo commission explores the relationship between contemporary art and automotive design, Golden Era focuses on the history and engineering heritage of the Rolls Royce V12. The commission celebrates more than a century of V12 excellence through gold detailing, technical artistry, and handcrafted craftsmanship.

The exterior combines Gold Crystal over Black with gold infused paint designed to create a subtle sparkle in natural light. A bespoke hand painted V12 coachline runs along the length of the motor car, complemented by gold bonnet wakelines and gold painted bumper inserts.

Inside, the V12 theme becomes even more detailed.

Intricate embroidered artwork appears across the seats, door pockets, and rear center armrest. The rear interior panel features an embroidered technical illustration depicting the internal architecture of a Rolls Royce V12 engine, creating an unusual connection between the mechanical heart of the automobile and its handcrafted interior.

Technical Fiber veneer has also been enhanced with microscopic gold flakes suspended within the lacquer. Gold brightwork, engraved eyeball vents, and a bespoke Golden Era Illuminated Fascia add further detail to the cabin.

The commission is completed with a gold inlaid ashtray, a Starlight Headliner featuring gold shooting stars, and a gold engine plaque honoring the current Rolls Royce V12.

The significance of the two Monterey Car Week commissions extends beyond their individual designs. Together, they demonstrate how Rolls Royce Bespoke is evolving into a platform for personal storytelling.

The brand says clients are increasingly commissioning vehicles inspired by personal passions, artistic movements, family heritage, and significant life milestones. This approach allows each automobile to reflect something meaningful about the person who commissioned it.

That philosophy is particularly visible in the two creations presented at Monterey. Black Badge Cullinan Series II by Cyril Kongo connects the automobile with contemporary art, while Black Badge Ghost Golden Era looks inward at the engineering heritage of the Rolls Royce V12.

The result is two very different interpretations of Bespoke luxury, both created around the idea of individuality.

Monterey Car Week has become an important meeting point for collectors, automotive enthusiasts, artists, luxury brands, and some of the world’s most exclusive automobiles. For Rolls Royce, the event provides an opportunity to demonstrate a side of the brand that cannot be captured through standard production models alone.

The Rolls Royce Villa creates an intimate environment where clients can explore the creative possibilities of Bespoke while experiencing the craftsmanship behind commissions that may take months or years to complete.

The two one of one automobiles also reinforce a defining principle of Rolls Royce luxury: exclusivity is not simply about rarity. It is about creating something that could belong to only one person.

Black Badge Cullinan Series II by Cyril Kongo transforms a luxury SUV into an expression of contemporary art. Black Badge Ghost Golden Era turns the heritage of the V12 into a detailed celebration of engineering and craftsmanship.

Together, they show how Rolls Royce continues to push the boundaries between automotive design, art, culture, and individual expression.

For Monterey Car Week 2026, that makes the Rolls Royce Villa more than a destination for viewing exceptional automobiles. It becomes a private showcase of what is possible when automotive craftsmanship is shaped around the personal story of its owner.
