In honor of their 20th anniversary, Louis Vuitton’s iconic Millionaires Sunglasses are being reintroduced by their originator, the House’s current Men’s Creative Director, Pharrell Williams. In an actual full circle moment, the new frames feature a slight revamp embracing the House’s evolution and modernity.
In 2004, Williams made fashion history when he collaborated with Nigo and Louis Vuitton (which was then under the creative direction of Marc Jacobs) to produce the iconic Millionaires Sunglasses: an aviator silhouette embellished with Louis Vuitton signatures. The newly renovated pair has been reinforced along their straight brow with aged gold metal strips stamped in a repeating pattern with the symbols representing the Louis Vuitton Monogram. Combining the House’s signature savoir-faire, enameled S-lock hinges add a vintage touch.

The Millionaires Sunglasses served as Williams’ designer debut for the House, an introduction that made waves among the overlapping worlds of music and fashion. Nearly two decades later, music and fashion are typically seen seamlessly weaving together, and Williams has found himself at the helm of men’s ready-to-wear and accessories, with this pair of glasses partially to thank for that.
In recognizing this achievement, the line is celebrated, relaunched, and revitalized under Williams’ direction, arriving now in two frame shapes: one closely resembling the original (1.0) and a carbon fiber model with sleek silver LV-engraved hinges and damier-patterned metal strips across its topside (the 3.0). Both pairs are now available for purchase online and in stores.
