NFL player Johnathan Cyprien may have been playing for another city, but his heart will always belong to his home city—Miami Beach. Born and raised in the Magic City, Cyprien loves to spend every minute he has off the field in the place he calls home. Most recently, the athlete was honored by the City of North Miami Beach with a Key to the City for his strong commitment to North Miami and its surrounding neighborhoods with his dedication to community work. Through his CypSquad ARY (At Risk Youth) Foundation, which he created in 2015, Cyprien has used his platform to create events that entertain, motivate and raise funds for local children. He’s also made it a strong mission of his to promote the success of young athletes through various philanthropic endeavors. It was a great honor for Cyprien, who was born and raised in North Miami Beach and attended North Miami Beach High School, to have received this award, symbolizing a piece of home. In honor of the occasion, Haute Living caught up with the football star to discuss his favorite city and find out some of his haute secrets.
