FENDI Relaunches Iconic Purple Sequin Baguette Worn By Sarah Jessica Parker
Of all the bag relaunches we’ve recently seen, FENDI bringing back its iconic purple sequin Baguette is one we’re most excited about. Recently featured in the New York episode of the brand’s #BaguetteFriendsForever series, it was carried by none other than fashion icon Sarah Jessica Parker, who also took the style to new heights in her role as Miss Carrie Bradshaw during HBO’s Sex and the City series. Created originally for the FENDI Fall/Winter 1999-2000 collection, the new edition—launched last week—boasts darker purple coloring with sequins in a range of shapes and sizes, giving it an eye-catching, 3D effect. The signature FF logo buckle in gold metal can’t be missed, while the addition of a detachable shoulder strap—made from purple leather—gives the bag increased functionality, as it now may be worn as a cross-body style.
