Tiffany Launches New Home And Accessories Collection

Luxury jeweler Tiffany & Co. has debuted its new home and accessories collection. The brand has taken ordinary objects like—a ruler, drinking can, band aid box, etc.—and turned them into something extraordinary. All of the pieces are handcrafted in sterling silver by Tiffany artisans. “This collection is Tiffany’s take on modern life, where we look at luxury through a new lens by infusing the nest materials with creativity and wit,” the brand said in a statement. The objects are shiny, eye-catching, and somewhat whimsical. There’s gold crazy straws, a bone china cup that looks like it’s paper, and a tin can baby bank.

The collection was inspired by Gene Moore, Tiffany’s legendary window designer. In 1978, Moore decided to use found objects, like a paint can, to artfully display jewels. Common household objects are given new meaning when made out of silver. “I think what makes the collection unique is that it incorporates the best quality, craftsmanship, and design with a level of functionality that allows you to use these things every day,” Reed Krakoff, the chief artistic officer at Tiffany & Co., said in the statement.

To celebrate the launch of the new line, Tiffany hosted an event at its New York flagship on Fifth Avenue. An entire floor of the building is devoted to the new home and accessory goods and there’s even a Tiffany ping pong table. World ping-pong champion, Yijun (Tom) Feng, played at the event. Olivia Wilde, Riley Keough, and Aimee Song attended the party.
