Taylor Swift Buys New Townhouse In TriBeCa For $18 Million
Fresh off the release of her latest album, Reputation, pop star Taylor Swift just purchased a new $18 million dollar home in New York City’s TriBeCa, just a few blocks from her current apartment in the neighborhood. The four-bedroom townhouse, designed by architect Leopoldo Rosati, is no stranger to public attention. The space is the former home of disgraced French diplomat Dominique Strauss-Kahn, who was under house arrest in the townhouse in 2011.
The four-story home is perfectly blended into the look of homes in the neighborhood with a brick façade and big open window featuring lots of wood paneling. Throughout the home are giant skylights to illuminate the space.
The home is full of grand features too like large rooms for entertaining, broad spaces for dinner parties, a kitchen full of state-of-the-art appliances, and enhanced with modern design touches like a glass enclosed stairwell and white walls that reflect colorful furniture in the main living room.
While only a few short minutes from her former townhouse in TriBeCa, Swift’s new space is much more settled into the neighborhood, a great place for her to find some quiet space in a bustling city—particularly with her album being lauded widely.
TriBeCa is also home to a number of celebrities, from Harry Styles and Justin Timberlake at 443 Greenwich, to Hugh Jackman living nearby along the Hudson River. The neighborhood has been a magnet for the rich and famous for the excess of space in homes and mellowed down streets where great restaurants evade huge crowds.
