NEW YORKERS FOR CHILDREN ANNUAL FALL GALA, SEPTEMBER 15TH

New Yorkers for Children is a great cause that always attracts a cross-section of A-list New Yorkers. This year’s Annual Fall Gala on September 15th was a very special one, as it celebrated the group’s 20th anniversary to benefit youth in foster care in New York City. The celebration raised more than $1.3 million and was presented by Chloé. A flock of New York City’s top influencers, models and the fashion industry’s most respected veterans came to Cipriani 42nd Street to support the charity.  ALZHEIMER’S ASSOCIATION RITA HAYWORTH GALA, OCTOBER 25TH

The 33rd annual Alzheimer’s Association Rita Hayworth Gala was held at Cipriani 42nd Street where Princess Yasmin Aga Khan, founder and 2016 gala general chair, as well as a long-time advocate for raising funds to help find a cure for the disease, welcomed guests who included Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York; fashion designers Nicole Miller and Zang Toi, Sharon Bush, Margo and John Catsimatidis Diandra Douglas Liliana Cavendish, Hilary Dick, Somers and Jonathan Farkas, Anne and Jay McInerney, TV personality and style guru Robert Verdi, CEO of HSNi Mindy Grossman, president of HSN, Bill Brand (Rita Hayworth Award recipient), president of the Toronto Maple Leafs Brendan Shanahan (Champion Award recipient),Sarah Rafferty, NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman, talk show host Wendy Williams and Liliana Cavendish. The evening raised nearly $2 million for critical Alzheimer’s care, support and research programs.

The Society of Memorial Sloan Kettering’s Associates Committee and Valentino hosted its annual Fall Party at The Metropolitan Club in New York. The Associates Committe parties are always well attended affairs, drawing top names from the worlds of fashion, art, philanthropy and the media. The evening was co-chaired by Mollie Ruprecht Acquavella, Amory McAndrew and Anna Burke Patterson. GABRIELLE’S ANGEL FOUNDATION FOR CANCER RESEARCH, NOVEMBER 21

Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research raised nearly $3.7 million in support of blood cancer initiatives at the Angel Ball 2016. This annual black-tie benefit, hosted by Grammy-nominated songwriter Denise Rich and her daughters Daniella Rich Kilstock and Ilona Rich Schachter, took place at Cipriani Wall Street. The Angel Ball honors individuals who have made significant humanitarian and philanthropic contributions in support of cancer research. This years honorees included Carl H. June, M.D., director of the Center for Cellular Immunotherapies and director of the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy at the University of Pennsylvania; the late Robert Kardashian; and Heloise Pratt, AM, chair of The Pratt Foundation. Hugh Jackman, Deborra-Lee Furness, Clive Davis, Sarah, Duchess of York; Star Jones, Toni Garrn, Donna Karan, Dee Hilfiger, Zuri Marley, Selenis Leyva, Jeff Gordon, Andreja Pejić, Anja Rubik, Brittany Daniels, Dr. Stephen Nimer, Ethan Zohn, Jonathan Batiste, Alina Baikova, Carol Alt, Christina Milian, Danielle Knudson, Donna D’Cruz, Jessica Strothler, Jill Zarin, Jocelyn Chew, Megan Williams, Montel Williams, Nadine Leopold, Scott Disick, Shanina Shaik, Suleika Jaouad, and other prominent New York personalities were among the  guests at the gala..
