Everything Is Groovy at San Francisco’s Hotel Zeppelin

If a warm bed and a hot shower are the minimum you seek in overnight accommodations and you expect a little atmosphere and ingenuity with your hotel stay, San Francisco’s new Hotel Zeppelin is the place for you. Echoing the vibe of the City that defined a movement, Hotel Zeppelin, located near iconic Union Square, is so much more than a place to lay your head at night.

Providing a huge nod to the 60’s counter culture movement, Hotel Zeppelin is a colorful and carefully conceived celebration of a seminal period in San Francisco’s history. Step inside, and become instantly enveloped in the time-warp, brought to life by the designers at Seattle-based Dawson Design Associates (DDA) who’ve managed to perfectly capture the artistry and rebellious energy of San Francisco’s Summer of Love.

Featuring provocative design elements, comfortably state-of-the-art rooms, and a friendly and accommodating staff, Hotel Zeppelin provides its guests the best of the City’s past and present. It’s all about peace, love, and rock-and-roll at Hotel Zeppelin:

Peace: You’ll feel it when you walk into the lobby lounge featuring cozy sitting areas around a central fireplace, and a full bar serving cocktails in the evening and Sightglass coffee drinks and Dynamo Doughnuts in the mornings. Peace is also the official name of the 1,300 square foot lower level game room – a playful retreat with Skee ball, shuffleboard, a quick-shot basketball wall, an oversized electronic Bingo board, two jumbo televisions, and communal areas perfect for events or group meetings. Even if not staying at the hotel, you need to stop in and take a look. It’s one of the coolest spaces in the City.

Love: It’s all around you – from your warm welcome at arrival, to your concierge’s offer to help you with absolutely anything at all – ‘as long as it’s legal.’ To fulfill requests, they utilize Scout – a service that allows guests to contact the concierge from anywhere, at any time from a downloadable app. The Zeppelin love is shared in these other ways: at cocktail hour, when half bottles of wine are served in the lounge, with free wi-fi, with laundry and valet services, with John Boos 36-inch high maple top work table desks and Nespresso machines in each guest room, and by allowing your pets to stay with you (for a fee.)

Rock-and-Roll: Unexpected design accents, including spontaneous black light exposed poetry pay tribute to the bookstores and cafés of the beatnik era. Bill Graham Presents concert posters pay homage to the City’s former psychedelic heartbeat. A retro Grace Slick art feature greets guests upon arrival, while Jerry Garcia, Huey Newton and other icons of the era grace the hallways. Vintage inspired record players are found in select rooms. It’s all quite a gas, baby.
