Jack-of-all-trades and Haute 100 lister Ryan Seacrest is slated to be honored at the Variety Entertainment Summit, where he will receive the Digital Impact Leadership Award. Seacrest will be joined by iHeartRadio’s chairman and CEO Bob Pittman for the “Headliner Conversation.” It is slated to be a one-on-one interview. Pittman will present Seacrest with the Digital Impact Leadership Award. The “Headliner Conversation” will take place on Thursday, Jan. 7th at 2:15 p.m.
The three-day conference, which will take place in Las Vegas on Jan. 6-9th, will focus on technology and how it has changed the landscape of the entertainment industry. The entertainment industry’s pioneers will share how they are taking risks and snapping up opportunities. The three topics that will be discussed are:
- The state of OTT entertainment: Viewers crave the ultimate convenience that online delivered (a.k.a. over the top or OTT) entertainment provides. How are traditional and all-digital networks and content distributors building out their OTT strategies? Entertainment and technology chiefs explore the state of OTT entertainment.
- Masters of audience engagement and monetization: With audiences so divided, what is the best way to reach them with compelling messaging? What advanced advertising strategies best utilize audience data to optimize content revenues? Entertainment leaders debate the best way to engage a crowd to best monetize TV, film and digital.
- The future of storytelling: Technology has unleashed astounding storytelling capabilities. But audiences demand constant surprises and wow factor. Top creative minds share how they are working to keep audiences on their toes with advancements in animation, virtual reality, interactive storytelling and more.
Other keynote topics include a headliner conversation with Shahrzad Rafati, founder and CEO of BroadbandTV and a one-on-one interview with Stephanie Gaines, VP, Corporate Marketing of YuMe.
