Chef Josiah Citrin will host the annual Stop the Void Charity Dinner on September 27, 2026, at Citrin & Mélisse in Santa Monica, California. The one night only five course dinner will bring together four acclaimed chefs representing a combined 11 Michelin Stars, creating an exceptional culinary experience in support of fentanyl awareness.

Citrin will be joined by John Shields of Smyth, E.J. Lagasse of Emeril’s, and Michael Cimarusti of Providence. Reservations for the evening are priced at $750 per person.

The dinner will showcase the culinary perspectives of some of America’s leading chefs. Chef Josiah Citrin, the evening’s host, is behind Citrin & Mélisse in Santa Monica, an established destination in the Los Angeles fine dining scene.

John Shields brings the perspective of Smyth in Chicago, while E.J. Lagasse represents Emeril’s in New Orleans. Los Angeles chef Michael Cimarusti completes the lineup with his acclaimed seafood restaurant Providence. Together, the chefs create a rare opportunity for Los Angeles diners to experience a collaborative dinner featuring an extraordinary collection of Michelin recognized culinary talent.

For Citrin, Stop the Void is deeply personal. After losing his son Augie at the age of 23, Citrin dedicated himself to raising awareness about fentanyl poisoning. He has worked closely with Stop the Void, a group of parents who have lost loved ones to fentanyl poisoning, with the hope that greater awareness and education can help prevent another family from experiencing a similar loss.

The annual charity dinner allows Citrin to combine his passion for hospitality with his commitment to fentanyl awareness. Through the event, guests can enjoy an exceptional dining experience while supporting a cause that has become an important part of his life.

Taking place at Citrin & Mélisse in Santa Monica, the September 27 event will bring together chefs, diners, and supporters for an evening centered on food, community, remembrance, and awareness.

With four accomplished chefs, five courses, 11 Michelin Stars, and a deeply personal charitable mission, the 2026 Stop the Void Charity Dinner offers far more than an exclusive dining experience. It represents Chef Josiah Citrin’s continued effort to turn personal loss into awareness and meaningful action.
