Continuum Becomes One of the First Residences in the World to Earn Forbes Travel Guide’s VERIFIED™ Luxury Residences Designation

Continuum Miami Beach becomes one of the first private residential communities in the world to earn Forbes Travel Guide’s VERIFIED™ Luxury Residences designation.

The designation recognizes the property’s commitment to exceptional resident service and hospitality-inspired living.

For more than two decades, Continuum has occupied a singular position at the southern tip of Miami Beach — the address that redefined what oceanfront living could feel like in South Florida. Now it has a new distinction to add to that legacy: Continuum has become one of the first private residential communities in the world to earn the VERIFIED™ Luxury Residences designation from Forbes Travel Guide, the global authority on luxury hospitality.

Developed by AtelierCX, Forbes Travel Guide’s consulting division, the designation recognizes luxury residential communities committed to delivering exceptional resident experiences inspired by the world’s finest hotels. It is a meaningful shift in how luxury real estate is evaluated — one that moves the conversation past finishes and floorplans and toward something far harder to manufacture: how a place actually feels to live in, every single day.

The company Continuum keeps in this inaugural class is exceptionally rarefied. Fewer than 20 residences worldwide were invited to participate by Forbes Travel Guide, with the first group entirely US-based. Continuum was selected as one of only five properties across the state of Florida, chosen for demonstrating more than two-and-a-half decades of world-class excellence in luxury hospitality.

A Rigorous Path to Recognition

The VERIFIED Luxury Residences methodology unfolds across four phases, and none of them are ceremonial. It begins with acceptance into the program based on a defined set of luxury residential criteria — an invitation, not an application anyone can buy their way into. From there, Residential Service Standards are verified and integrated into the building’s existing service culture. Management teams then undertake comprehensive training, followed by both a self-attestation and a Luxury Residence Quality Assessment conducted by an expert evaluator.

That final step is where the program earns its authority. Forbes Travel Guide’s experts are the architects of customer experience, drawing on a deep well of knowledge about the expectations of the world’s most discerning global clientele. To earn the designation, Continuum completed the full verification process, with its service culture, operational practices and resident experience all evaluated against the program’s standards.

What It Means for Buyers

For prospective residents and buyers, the value proposition is refreshingly concrete. In a market saturated with the language of luxury, the VERIFIED Luxury Residences designation offers something closer to proof: confidence that a community has demonstrated a genuine commitment to personalized, consistent service and an elevated residential experience. Inspired by the service culture of the world’s leading luxury hotels, the designation identifies communities where the principles of luxury hospitality shape the everyday resident experience rather than the marketing brochure.

The Continuum Standard

Perched on the southernmost point of Miami Beach, on a 12-acre oceanfront site with views sweeping from the Atlantic to Fisher Island and the Miami skyline beyond, Continuum represents the best-in-class of luxury oceanfront living in the United States. For more than 25 years, the world’s most affluent and discerning residents of South Florida have revered the iconic beachfront community as the preeminent choice for a primary or seasonal home within the historic South of Fifth neighborhood.

Considered an original pioneer in contemporary resort-style living, Continuum remains one of the most desirable and highly sought-after properties for individual homeowners, couples and families nationwide and across the globe. Renowned internationally for its world-class oceanfront residences and unmatched excellence in service and amenities — a lagoon pool, private tennis club, sporting club and spa among them — Continuum offers a lifestyle defined by unparalleled comfort, serenity and wellbeing.

“We are proud to be among the inaugural group of residences to receive the VERIFIED Luxury Residences designation by Forbes Travel Guide,” says Rishi Idnani, Managing Director at Continuum. “This designation reinforces how the property is at the forefront of the movement to embrace the principles of luxury hospitality service in the residential environment, through a rigorous program backed by the world’s global authority on luxury hospitality. Since 2023, Continuum has aligned with Forbes Travel Guide for a comprehensive luxury service program. Being chosen as one of the first properties in the world to receive this prestigious recognition elevates the Continuum brand even further on the global stage.”

That 2023 alignment is worth underlining: the designation is not a rebrand, but formal recognition of a service philosophy Continuum has been building deliberately for years.

“Luxury today is defined not only by beautiful residences and exceptional amenities, but by how people feel every day in the place they call home,” said Hermann Elger, Chief Executive Officer of Forbes Travel Guide. “The VERIFIED Luxury Residences designation recognizes communities that have embraced the service philosophy of the world’s finest hotels, creating resident experiences that are thoughtful and consistently exceptional.”

In a city that never stops building, Continuum’s newest distinction is a reminder that the most enduring luxury has never been about what goes up. It’s about who is waiting at the door.
