We told you about Odette Estate Winery’s wunderkind winemaker Jeff Owens earlier this year; now the PlumpJack Group’s newest winery has unveiled a haute new hospitality center to match Owens’ talents. Located in Napa’s famed Stags Leap District, the contemporary Estate Lounge, designed by Napa-based Shopworks, is a gorgeous state-of-the-art, 3,500-square-foot facility that provides an elegant and welcoming setting for you to enjoy the winery’s expanded offerings.
“Our goal for Odette Estate has always been to provide guests with a premier tasting experience that celebrates the surrounding terroir of our Stags Leap Estate Vineyard,” said general manager John Conover, partners with Gavin Newsom and Gordon Getty in the PlumpJack Group. “With the addition of the lounge to the Estate, we look forward to creating offerings that are commensurate with the world-class wines being produced here.”
Design features include walnut wood tasting bars, black velvet sofas, a custom 10-seat dining table, modern chandeliers and an open patio with tables, cushioned benches and an inviting fire pit. Neutral colors create a warm and inviting ambiance, highlighting a circular theme throughout – on the tile, screens, chandeliers and beyond – in homage to the feminine characteristics of Odette – a fabled princess, mistress and judge found in works of fiction, mythology and the world of wine. Floor-to-ceiling windows facing the vineyards can be fully opened to further enhance the vineyard experience.
In addition to the current tasting room offerings, Odette Estate Winery will offer two new tasting experiences in the completed hospitality center – the Estate Tour and Tasting plus the Vineyard View Lunch.
The Estate Tour and Tasting is an educational focus on Odette Estate, CADE Estate and PlumpJack Estate wineries with special attention to the nuances that distinguish their different appellations. Oenophiles, you’ll be welcomed at the tasting bar with a splash of refreshing Sauvignon Blanc or Chardonnay and then have the opportunity to take a walking tour of the Estate. You’re then seated in the Estate Lounge for an elevated tasting experience. ($60 per person; $30 tour fee for interwinery/trade; available by appointment for parties up to 10; 90 minutes.)
The Vineyard View Lunch includes a private lunch and tasting at the Estate. You’ll enjoy a three-course meal expertly paired with highly coveted wines crafted by Owens. You’ll then take an educational walking tour of the organically farmed sustainable Estate and the Gold LEED-certified winery.
