John Joseph Lin Favorite Places in Miami
Chic Miamian John Joseph Lin hails from Michigan. Arriving in Miami by way of New York, Lin cut his teeth as Director of Marketing at Haute-design spot Luminaire, Lin learned the local scene. Art Basel’s “puppy love” exhibition with Christie’s and the opening of Luminaire Lab. He worked closely with the top designers in the world, including Marcel Wanders, the Campana Brothers, and Arne Quinze, launching companies such as Established & Sons and Swarovski Crystal Palace in the US.
In 2007, he moved to Paris to become the worldwide head of communications for Corto Moltedo, the namesake brand from Gabrielecorto Moltedo, the son of the founder’s of Bottega Veneta. After several years in Paris, he moved back to Miami to start his own company, Lin Projects, concentrating in marketing, branding, events, and PR. Since then he has curated Target’s Stylescape campaign with Phillip Lim in Miami, produced and launched the first Uber campaign locally, and managed the launch of Kanon Vodka in the Miami market.
