As if you needed a reason to indulge in a cocktail on International Whiskey Day, Bar Nineteen 12 at the Beverly Hills Hotel is giving guests one very good reason to imbibe.

Today, the Pink Palace will unveil the private label Beverly Hills Hotel Evans Williams Single Barrel Bourbon in conjunction with Evan Williams, a brand of bourbon whiskey bottled in Bardstown Kentucky.

The exclusive Beverly Hills Hotel Evan Williams Bourbon selected for the popular bar is “Barrel Number 376,” which was aged for 10 years in a new, charred, American Oak barrel that will be on display at the bar. This barrel yielded 216 bottles of Evan Williams Single Barrel which will be featured in a signature Gold Rush cocktail (The Beverly Hills Hotel Evan Williams Single Barrel Bourbon, Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur, Honey Syrup, Lemon). This cocktail, along with any other cocktail made with The Beverly Hills Hotel Evan Williams Single Barrel Bourbon, will be priced at $10 on International Whiskey Day. Full bottles of this one-of-a-kind collector’s item bottling will also be available for $200 on this day.

International Whiskey Day has been a popular celebration of whiskey that raises money and awareness of Parkinson’s Disease. It was started in honor of Michael Jackson, a famed spirits critic and journalist who lost his battle to Parkinson’s disease. Bar Nineteen 12 will donate 10% of its proceeds from International Whiskey Day to this cause.

The specialty bourbon will also be showed on Saturday, May 3, when Bar Nineteen 12 will once again play host to a fun-filled Kentucky Derby viewing party and celebrate the time-honored traditions and pageantry surrounding the big event.
