Jingle and Mingle Brings Holiday Cheer for Children of Shelters
It was another year for Bay Area designers to capture the season’s festive spirit in a way that only San Francisco can. Designers were hard at work creating one-of-a-kind wreaths that were auctioned off at this year’s Children of Shelters’ annual fundraiser, Jingle and Mingle, at the Golden Gate Club in the Presidio.
Each year, this event is considered to be one of the most unique and festive fundraisers of the season, bringing out socialites, local celebrities and the fashionable set alike. This year’s auction featured designer wreaths by Restoration Hardware, Ken Fulk, Adam P. Gale, Kendall Wilkinson, Douglas Durkin Design, Catherine Macfee Interior Design and many more. In the past, designers have flexed their creative muscles to create art made from live foliage and steel to mirrors and colorful light installations.
Guests were treated to fabulous food provided by McCalls Catering and a variety of signature cocktails. All proceeds from the event will directly serve the needs of San Francisco’s homeless children, providing them with educational and cultural experiences necessary to help them realize their potential and break the cycle of poverty.
Children of Shelters was proud to partner with the following sponsors: Ken Fulk, Inc., The Scout Guide, Stephanie Breitbard Fine Arts, Uniqlo, Peek, SF Properties, PG&E, Marin Country Mart, Pottery Barn Kids, Cartelligent, Wender Weis Foundation, Kimpton Hotels, ACRE Gourmet, Guardsmen and McCalls Catering. Jingle & Mingle and SantaFest 2013 are co-chaired by Maryam Muduroglu, Kate Sheridan Chung, Jessica Kaludis, Stephanie Plexico and Jenny Stegall. Committee members included: Lana Adair, Natasha Bradley, Heidi Castelein, Whitney Chiate, Holly Couden, Helene de Baubigny, Kathryn Freeman, Jenna Hunt, Shonaree Michael, Natasha Monahan, Claudia Ross, Kelly Shuhda, Katie Spalding, Jenny Stegall and Andrea Zola.
