Haute 100 Miami Update: MLPA To Take Action Against Jeffrey Loria If He Does Not Increase Marlin’s Payroll

The MLPA is ready to take action by going to the MLB if Miami Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria does not increase the team’s payroll. This is the second time the baseball association has had this same issue with Jeffrey Loria. A few years back, the MLPA believed Loria was pocketing the money coming from revenue sharing, rather than putting it towards the team and its players. To avoid being penalized from the MLB, the Marlins agreed to raising the team’s payroll that year.

Now, Jeffrey Loria is back on their radar because the Miami Marlin’s payroll in the off season decreased to $35 million, and they made unexpected trades with the Tampa Bay Rays and the Toronto Blue Jays…
