One of the first luxury projects to open in Los Angeles following the recession has officially launched this week at 8500 Burton Apartments. The Rick Caruso-developed mixed-use apartment complex is located just south of the Beverly Center and features apartments for rent that start in the mid-$4,000 per month range.
Recently, LA Curbed took a tour of the new luxury apartment project and discovered an exclusive world of city living. Developed by Rick Caruso, LA Curbed reports that 8500 Burton Apartments includes a Trader Joe’s on the ground floor, which is already open, and The Larder at Burton Way, which will open soon.
Rising eight stories above the ground level, which features an entry and lobby area, 8500 was first approved in 2009 with a “boxier look” but was redesigned in 2011 to feature a “ship-lie redesign”. There are 87 apartments in the building with hardwood floors, walls of glass, views of downtown, the Hollywood Hills and the Pacific ocean, and balconies, The 4,000-square-foot Waldo Fernandez-design penthouse features 12-foot ceilings, walk-in closets, CaesarStone countertops, bathtubs and stainless steel appliances.
Building amenities include those you might expect at a luxury hotel. The building has a gym, lounge area, central garden, 24-hour doorman, concierge, valet, rooftop pool, room service, pantry stocking from Trader Joe’s, and more. Apartments start in the mid-$4,000s per month.
According to their website, the 8500 apartments are nearby Beverly Hills, the heart of Los Angeles, Robertson, The Grove, fashion, shopping, gourmet dining and more.
