The Greek Theatre in LA Named Best Small Outdoor Venue of the Year
One of Los Angeles landmark venues has been named the best small outdoor venue of the year, but not just everywhere, but right here in the United States. The Greek Theatre has been infamous for many sold-out concerts being held there. Spectacular concert performances by Death Cab for Cutie, Thievery Corporation, The Go-Go’s, Florence + The Machine, Janet Jackson and Adele.
Recently, at the 23rd annual Pollstar Awards, the theatre received the honor for its 12th year, beating out Filene Center in Vienna, Va., Chastain Park in Atlanta, Ga., and a few other venues, The Greek Theatre features 5,900 seats so there’s no wonder why so many love the outdoor venue, exclusively run by Nederlander Concerts. Not only has the venue been honored, but Rena Wassmerman, Nederlander Concerts general manager, also was nominated at the Pollstar Awards for executive of the year.
