Haute Spot: Tuesdays at Hemingway’s

Let’s be honest. Hollywood is not known for being a soulful place where people are intelligent and eager to connect, unless of course, it will get them somewhere. That being said, I’ve found myself part of a night that is striving to bring intellect into a scene that is so desperately in need of it.

Hemingway’s on Tuesdays, hosted by Johnny Valenti, is pioneering a new kind of night where people are sharing their poetry and acoustic sets free of judgement. This night (thanks to Johnny Valenti, Michael Utsinger, Louis Carreon, Alexander David and myself) brings together a core group of friends who come to listen to others perform their art. It has a very comfortable feel, peers hanging out and sharing creatively whilst sipping bourbon from the open bar. Max Van Ville and Cassie Stevens seem to really get the mood of the night as they spin the perfect tunes for this evening.

If you are interested in hanging out with a surprisingly attractive, intelligent group of people in Los Angeles where you can possibly make a relationship with someone who knows how to spell, this would be the place to be. I love this night, it’s cool, sincere and if you’re a Haute Living kinda person, you’ll want to share and mingle here too!
