Haute Event: Grand Opening of 31Ten Lounge in Santa Monica

This past Friday, Feb. 18, 31Ten Lounge in Santa Monica celebrated its grand opening with a special night of complimentary appetizers and cocktails for guests. Scrumptious pizzas and specialty vodka cocktails were whisked to tables from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.  Although the lounge opened its doors in mid-December of last year, owner Paolo Cesaro (pictured below) opted to hold the grand opening on the same day that Los Angeles Times released an exclusive article about 31Ten Lounge.

Patrons decked out in chic designer outfits and trendy ensembles packed the place, which seamlessly blends the line between indoors and outdoors. Candles sparkled on tables scattered throughout the airy space and cascading lights adorned lush tropical trees, creating an exotic, jungle-like nighttime oasis. Guests lounged on over-sized couches and gathered around the focal point of the lounge – a roaring fire pit. While a somewhat subtle ambiance settled over the lounge in the early evening, once the live DJ set began at 9 p.m., the atmosphere turned from subdued to energetic.

On any given night, guests at 31Ten Lounge can enjoy an eclectic menu of cuisines with Italian, Mexican and French influences. 31Ten also has a variety of specialty cocktails, such as El Diablo (pictured below) and its signature cocktail, the Californication. Bartenders are also more than willing to put their own special twists on drinks as well, so don’t be shy to ask them!
