B & G Oysters New Year’s Day Lunch and Brunch
B & G Oysters is located at 550 Tremont, South End, Boston 617.423.0550
They had me at lobster breakfast sandwiches and mimosas. But there are so many other culinary delights to partake in this New Year’s Day at B & G Oyster House from noon to 4, let’s hope your stomach is ready for it. Plus, isn’t it kind of fun to watch everyone else dining around you, try to spot folks you know and feel almost tickled to discover you may not be the most hung-over person in the place? This is a great spot for people watching and slow dining.
Lucky Brunch at Craigie on Main
Craigie on Main is located at 853 Main St., Central Square, Cambridge 617.497.5511
A three course prix fixe brunch served from 11am to 2pm, the choices are quite delightful at Craigie on Main. Hold off on that resolution long enough to indulge in their house made doughnut, house-smoked Finnan Haddie hash and house made profiteroles. Chef Tony Maws never disappoints, particularly on the first day of a whole new year. Lest we not forget the magicians behind the bar at Craigie on Main who will make sure to take the edge off that hangover for you.
Masa’s Brunch Fiesta
Masa is located at 439 Tremont St., South End, Boston 617.338.8884
Boasting Boston’s best brunch, Masa will be serving up tapas first aid from 10am – 4pm. Brunch starts right here with their own brand of liquid refreshments including Bloody Marys garnished with a pickled jalapeno to Latin Bellinis featuring mango puree, guava puree and champagne (so yummy). Juevos Rancheros is a sure hangover fix, but it may be hard to pass up the Jalisco Chocolate Chip Pancakes with Mango Butter. Best bet is to share because you are likely to want to try more than one tempting dish here.
