Haute Event: The Setai Fifth Avenue Grand Opening Event

On Friday, Nov. 5, long-awaited Setai Fifth Avenue Hotel & Residences officially opened to the public with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting and cocktail reception.

More than 600 guests joined Bizzi and Partners Development’s chairman Davide Bizzi and executive vice president Giuseppe Rossi for the grand opening event including deputy mayor Robert Steel, Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney, Ambassador of Italy to the United States Giulio Terzi di Sant’Agata, Maurizio Lupi, vice president of the Italian parliament and Capella Hotels and Resorts chairman Horst Schulze, among other prominent New Yorkers.

Located in the heart of midtown Manhattan on 5th Avenue between 36th and 37th Streets, the new 214-suite, five-star landmark hotel stands more than 60 stories high and is mere blocks from the iconic Empire State building. The Setai also includes 184 luxury residences, Michael White’s new restaurant, Ai Fiori, and a Julien Farel salon and spa.
