Choos or Lose: Wine, Women and Shoes at Saks Fifth Avenue
When it comes to true love, women might choose their favorite pair of pumps over their partner. After all, something you’re walking on all day becomes a part of you like nothing else can. And Saks knows that pairing a woman’s love of shoes with a good pour makes for an amazing night whether your prefer for pumps, platforms or pinot.
Nov. 4 marked Saks’ first Wine, Women and Shoes, which celebrated the newest from Jimmy Choo’s 24:7 the Collection, a range of footwear for every day. And while glitz and glam might mark the Choo signature, there was plenty of that and the more practical pump. With every single shoe in the collection available in various finishes from every day to extra extraordinary, there was something for every woman.
And for the indecisive? Saks Fifth Avenue brought in a shoemmelier, making it easy to find out what to pair with your new pumps (perhaps a glass of pinot noir from Newton Vineyards?) or strappy sandals (a flute of champagne from Ruinart). There were over-the-knee boots that went perfectly with red and glittery slingbacks that were suggested with a crisp blanc de blanc.
In addition to receiving a limited-edition 24:7 tote, a portion of proceeds from the night’s sales went to local charity Human Options, helping them attain their goal of “restoring hope and rebuilding life.” Charity, champagne and shoes? You might just have found a new favorite pairing.
Saks Fifth Avenue is located at 3333 Bristol St., at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa. For more information and to view the entire Jimmy Choo 24:7 Collection, visit their official web site.
