Caffé Da Vinci Will Reopen in Bay Harbor Islands in Mid-November

Serving contemporary gastronomía de Italia with molecular influences in Bay Harbor Islands since 1994, Caffé Da Vinci will reopen in mid-November. Following a five-month renovation, Bay Harbor Islands’ premier supper club and hip lounge inaugurates new ownership and chef. The 2,500-square-foot space offers patrons “the Italian art of pasta” coupled with a duel-part-experience from dinner to lounge with an old-world-feel that is complemented by contemporary culinary gusto.

Just minutes from Bal Harbour shops, Caffé Da Vinci’s progressive Italian cuisine takes a whimsical approach to molecular gastronomy, a scientific discipline that studies the physical and chemical processes that occur while cooking. Seated amid an intimate atmosphere in the main dining room, diners embark on the neighborhood’s latest culinary journey. Travel to the Italian countryside with homemade risottos, pastas, and ravioli dishes, like Lobster ravioli drizzled in a shrimp cream sauce, or more unique scaloppini dishes. Executive Chef Jose Cadavid is the resto’s new chef and mad culinary scientist, creating perfection on a plate with his signature dish, Rossini filet mignon, made with pâté de foie gras and black truffle in a Barolo sauce.

A more adventurous palate can tease the senses with playful takes on the traditional, including mushroom risotto dueto with sautéed shallots, fresh porcini and shitake mushrooms with white wine sauce, parmesan cheese, and cantaloupe caviar, carpaccio dueto with swordfish and Wagyu Kobe beef and zuppa di mare alla cioppino with fresh mussels, shrimp, calamari, and salmon in a spiced marina sauce, served with ciabatta bread.

Warm earth tones with pewter finishes and brushed gold brick walls, red leather accented chairs, banquets, and a floor-to-ceiling wine cellar enrich a late-night lounge that doubles as Bay Harbor’s first supper club, complete with a full-service bar, live entertainment, and a small plate menu.

Caffé Da Vinci is located at 1009 Kane Concourse in Bay Harbor Islands, Fla. The restaurant and lounge are open daily for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and dinner from 5 to 10: 30 p.m. with extended lounge hours until 2 a.m. For reservations, call 305.861.8166, or visit www.caffedavinci.com for more information.
