Another Round: Happy Hour Week Returns to OC

The second annual Happy Hour Week comes back to OC following its highly successful debut. So if you didn’t get your fill during OC Restaurant Week, you can try some of the most creative cocktails the county has to offer alongside some small bites that’ll whet your appetite for the main event. So if you’re missing happy hour, from Oct. 24-30, you can enjoy it any hour of the day, any day of the week.

Kicking off with an event at seaside stop SOL Cocina Oct. 24, that includes a fresh margarita bar from Peligroso Tequila, the week-long event gives foodies the chance to try some new spots and some new eats at their favorite happy hour haunts.

For the duration of the week, restaurants like Andrei’s in Irvine will offer specialty cocktails and special menus normally featured for the after work-crowd all day long. Small bites normally reserved for the bar will be served all day long, so why not head out to AnQi or Memphis, both popular spots for happy hour, after taking in a show at the Performing Arts Center or before the movies? There’s no reason to rush, the specials at these restaurants and the others (including hot spots like K’ya, TAPS Fish House and Brewery, No Ka Oi and more) will be there whether you decide to stop in for lunch or late night. Other favorite haunts like Haven Gastropub, won’t be in on the deal but make sure to stop in for their newest small bites and pours during the usual happy hour.

“This is Happy Hour Week was created to offer some light-hearted fun and to promote Orange County’s diverse food and beverage offerings. This is a great time to gather with friends and enjoy various atmospheres, appetizers, and, of course, tasty libations featured across the region,” said Pamela Waitt, president of the Orange County Restaurant Association. For that, we can definitely raise a glass.
