On Oct. 16, Orange County’s best and brightest gathered to raise money for one of the county’s most beloved charities, Miracles for Kids. Held at the St. Regis Monarch Beach, the Night of Miracles 2010: Live and Swingin’ brought together everyone from real estate giants to sports superstars for a night of cocktails, haute cuisine and a live Vegas show.
With more than 500 attendees, the event was bookmarked by a cocktail reception, a live performance from Direct from Vegas: The Rat Pack, a music and comedy show fronted by Sammy, Dean and Frank. The beautiful Dana Point resort played host to the event and its exciting auction, which had amazing prizes like luxury vacations, a $16,000 black diamond and Tahitian pearl necklace from designer Michael Beaudry, diamond-studded sunglasses from Luxuriator and more. Together, the items and the Fund-a-Family Fundraiser raised over $750,000 for the programs at Miracles for Kids.
Also featured that night were the honorees that were given the Miracle Maker Awards for their dedication and support for the organization and the partnership of Miracles for Kids and the annual Stars and Stripes Tournament held in Cabo San Lucas back in June. Dubbed “The Knights,” Dick Gebhard, Jeff Cunningham, Tim Ryan, Charles Ruck, Al Baldwin and Larry Kirkenslager were given the award during the evening’s festivities.
Based out of the Children’s Hospital of Orange County, Miracles for Kids provides aid to hundreds of families in OC, including those with critically-ill children.
