Haute Sugar: Sweet Harts

Even though she is no longer a teenage witch, Melissa Joan Hart has taken her love for sugary sweets to the San Fernando Valley by introducing Sweet Harts, a candy, gelato and baked goods haven for kids and adults.

The wonderfully decorated candy emporium with hues of green, purple and white is a mix between a candy store as well as self-serve yogurt station and mini-bakery. The yogurt station brings old favorites and new flavors that are constantly changing with choices such as Red Velvet, Pumpkin or Island Banana. Sweet Harts is also home to a variety of alternating sorbet flavors that have included Strawberry Cheesecake, Rocky Road and Raspberry Chocolate Chip.

Sweet Harts has also become popular for their baked goods and candy display. Baked goods include cookies, cupcakes and the newest addition, cake balls. Lil Rae Cake balls can be found at Sweet Harts in flavors like Strawberry or Lemon. There is always a new fresh baked good on display at Sweet Harts keeping customers on their toes and craving sugar.

Not only is Sweet Harts a perfect after dinner spot or place to satisfy your sweet tooth; events and parties can be thrown at Sweet Harts in the private back room. Catering and party planning are also offered according to the selected party package of your choosing.

To keep things interesting, Melissa and team offer fun and creative ways to keep customers coming back. Every Tuesday from 6pm-10pm, Sweet Harts holds Game Night to play classic board games while enjoying classic desserts and pastries. Their Twitter and Facebook page will also keep you updated on new deals such as “1$ off for riding your bike to Sweet Harts” or “50% off frozen yogurt during American Idol Night.”

Thank you Melissa Joan Hart for bringing some sugar to Sherman Oaks, you’re such a sweet hart.

Sweet Harts is located at 13704 Ventura Blvd., Sherman Oaks, Calif.
