Mark Zuckerberg

Category: Billionaires
Company: Facebook
Industry: Technology

What Made Him Haute: Mark Zuckerberg is the genius who invented Facebook in a Harvard dorm room in 2004 and became the youngest Forbes billionaire in 2008 after Microsoft bought a stake, valuing it at $15 billion.

What Makes Him Haute Now: Facebook’s foray into motion pictures did respectively well with the opening-weekend of The Social Network closing at $23 million, but Mark Zuckerberg could be found elsewhere on-screen this weekend. Zuckerberg made an animated appearance on The Simpsons on Sunday night. The minute-long cameo on Fox was an animated departure from the narcissistic depiction of the Facebook founder. Lisa and Nelson Muntz met Mark at an entrepreneurial convention where the Harvard dropout poked fun at himself and cited Bill Gates and Richard Branson as fellow dropouts-turned-successes.
