Having become a go-to designer for the Hollywood red carpet set, Tadashi Shoji has earned a loyal following on and off the silver screen. For any occasion, you can be sure that a Tadashi frock will flatter and send hearts a flutter. Romantic, modern, beautiful and definitely sexy, there’s a reason stars rock his looks time and again. Tadashi greeted fans at a breakfast held at Bloomingdale’s Fashion Island, where there was celebration and charity, both in good measure.
Though it was gloomy and grey outside, Bloomingdale’s Fashion Island location was buzzing with excitement at the personal appearance. Partnering with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s Dream Guild, Bloomingdale’s hosted the designer’s appearance and an intimate breakfast. Dresses from Tadashi’s latest collection were on display, showcasing the designer’s attention to detail, masterful draping and play with materials. The latest collection was inspired by various textures in nature and featured beading, frayed fabrics and sequins layered under tulle and in degrade patterns.
Breakfast was served to the Dream Guild and their guests before the browsed the collection and had the opportunity to meet the famed designer and get a one-of-a-kind sketch of themselves with their purchases, whether they chose a sequined cocktail dress or a floor-skimming, show-stopping gown.
Even with some winter gloom, the event glowed with cheer and good spirits for both fans of Tadashi’s beautiful work and the good work of the Dream Guild, which raises money to support Juvenile Diabetes research.
