News | June 11, 2010

I Tre Merli

Camp out at I Tre Merli for the World Cup. Enjoy a morning cafe or an afternoon pipping hot Margherita Pizza from their world class brick oven as they will be showing all 9:30am and 2pm shows. For the ultimate World Cup fist pumping jamboree join the Koch Brother’s Day and Night this Saturday. Crowd pumping sensations of Euro music and magnum champagne showers will pleasantly accent the England vs. USA match on I Tre Merli’s ten by six foot plasma screen.

I Tre Merli is located at 463 West Broadway, New York, NY 10012 (212) 254-8699

Felix

Brazil is in the house at Felix. Don’t expect a major tv, but do expect an atmosphere of Boso and Samba. It’s the home away from home for Brazilians and adopted Brazilian fans (aka those that feel their team don’t have a chance). Book your reservation online. A special World Cup Breakfast Menu is even offered with dishes like Steak et Oeufs, Pain Perdu and Chilaquiles.

Felix is located at 340 West Broadway New York, NY(212) 431-0021

Cafe Novecento

For Argentina it’s hand’s down Cafe Novecento. Directly across the street from Felix is ground zero for Argentine fans. Opened in 1991 by Hector Rolotti it caters to a 20 to 40 something crowd. Feast on grilled tenderloin or rib eye, chorizo or blood sausage, lamb chops or pork chops, a slab of breaded beef or chicken stuffed with spinach and goat cheese.

Novecento is located at 343 West Broadway New York, NY 10013 (212) 925-4706

Opia Restaurant

Nearly every discerning European in the UES will be at Opia for the World Cup. Feast on traditional french cuisine, we recommend salad Niçoise and Gruyère omelettes, and enjoy the World Cup on the big screen in luxury and comfort. Go les bleus.

Opia Restaurant is located at 130 East 57th Street New York, NY (212) 688-3939

Mercadito

For the East Village, enjoy World Cup festivities at Mercadito on their 52-inch screens.
Bring your appetite for all you can eat tacos at this Mexican hotspot. They also offer a variety of fresh guacamoles and ceviches, handmade corn tortillas and other specialties.

Mercadito is located at 179 Ave. B New York, NY 10009 (212) 529 – 6490
