Enjoy Hollywood and Wine at Hollywood and Vine: W Hotel Hosts Wine Aficionado Dinner

They say the more wine you drink, the longer you live, and the Eighth Annual Wine Aficionado Dinner is sure to add a few good years to your life, in addition to helping save the lives of many children struck by cancer. With all proceeds benefiting the Bogart Pediatric Cancer Research Program at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, guests can indulge in rare wines and a gourmet four-course meal knowing that they are contributing to a good cause. Co-chair Sandra Rapke proudly extols on the accomplishments of past Wine Aficionado Dinners, saying, “The money we’ve raised over the past several years has saved countless children’s lives.” Here’s to that.

“Hollywood and Wine: The Biggest Stars in Wine Today” takes place May 13 at the hottest spot in Hollywood, the W Hotel, which is so hot right now it’s absolutely the only acceptable place to hold a fete. Since Haute Living is committed to bringing you news of places worth knowing about before anyone else, we profiled this new mecca of hauteness in the most recent Los Angeles edition of our magazine.

Guests can imbibe like royalty thanks to a showcase of some of the finest wines in the world, with service overseen by several knowledgeable LA sommeliers.

After wining and dining, the nightcap comes in the form of a live auction, where guests will have the chance to bid on everything from 100-point Robert Parker rated wines to a stroll down the red carpet in a Randolph Duke couture gown.

Tickets to this wine lovers dream are priced at a mere $1,250 per person or $10,000 per table of 10.
