NFL Great Celebrates The Big 3-0 Miami Style

Last weekend was one of the first in quite a few weeks where we weren’t inundated with football fans or yachting enthusiasts raining down on the Magic City. From Pro Bowl to Super Bowl to the Miami International Yacht & Brokerage Show, we can barely get a weekend off from the exclusive invites to red carpet events.

But just because the national media isn’t reporting on a nationwide event being hosted in our American Riviera doesn’t mean that the lights go dormant. From the beach to downtown, from Bal Harbour to Palm Beach, celebrities love to vacation in the land we are lucky enough to call home.  Take this past weekend for example, Dwight Freeney, the five-time Pro Bowler and Super Bowl champ, celebrated the big 3-0 in elite Miami style. From hours of yachting to pool parties at Plunge at the Gansevoort South to a big birthday bash, the weekend was all about fun in the sun.

Perhaps the most memorable experience of the entire celebratory weekend was the moment for gifts, when our very own Haute Ambassador of Jewelry and Timepieces, Igal Haimov, presented Freeney with one of his special Haimov watches. A favorite with celebrities (Shaq helped launch his popularity, and recently Karina Smirnoff and NFL Super Bowl Champ Jerome Bettis cut the red ribbon at the grand opening of his new boutique), Haimov has been drafting designs since he was a young child. His passion, NYC training, and years of hard work paid off, as today he is one of the most respected go-to jewelers. Read more about his unique training and techniques in the latest issue of Haute Living Miami.
