The Moyer Foundation, founded by Major League Baseball All-Star pitcher Jamie Moyer and his wife Karen, are joining together with The Mario Batali Foundation to present “Super Bowl Super Brunch” which will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Club 50 in the Viceroy Hotel in Miami, Florida.
This exclusive brunch will be hosted by Jamie, Karen, and world renowned chef Mario Batali. Joining them will be honorary celebrity co-chairs, comedian Jimmy Fallon, legendary musician Jimmy Buffett and Chef Emeril Lagasse along with guests including professional athletes and sports personalities.
“Karen and I are thrilled and honored to be teaming up with Mario Batali to help children. With the other celebrities and athletes involved, this is definitely not your typical Super Bowl party,” said Jamie Moyer, co-founder of The Moyer Foundation. “Both of our Foundations are helping children and together we will make a bigger difference while at the same time enjoying a great experience you can’t find anywhere else Super Bowl weekend.”
The afternoon will include a gourmet brunch designed by Mario Batali, wine, specialty cocktails, cooking demonstrations by Mario and Emeril, live entertainment and a silent auction. All of the proceeds from the special event will benefit The Moyer Foundation’s Camp Erin™ program and The Mario Batali Foundation.
