Don King talks Haute Living on CNBC’s The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch

The Man. The Myth. The Legend.

Sure, it sounds a bit cliché, but this is the truest definition of legendary boxing promoter Don King. The cover story for the January/February 2008 editions both Haute Living Los Angeles and Haute Living New York, King brought our magazine into the new year with a highly introspective, honest, and informative interview, a true master of the sound byte with his “Don King-isms.”

As former undisputed world heavyweight boxing champion Lennox Lewis told Haute Living in its January/February version of “Off the Grid,” “many boxers may step into the ring, but there’s only one King.”

Need further proof? Just check out last night’s edition of “The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch” on CNBC. In the interview, King, wearing his trademark screen-printed jean jacket, espoused his worldly views on a variety of topics.

In fact, a King quote comes to mind when thinking of how viewers surely came away from his interview: “armed and dangerous. Armed with wisdom and knowledge.”
