Makeup Master Charlotte Tilbury Shares How To Get Glam For NYE
If you’re stressing about how to get glam this New Year’s Eve, have no fear, Charlotte Tilbury is here! We caught up with the iconic makeup artist at The Grove, where she’s hosting her very first holiday pop-up (that lasts through Dec. 31,where makeup enthusiasts will find exclusive and limited-edition trinkets, treats and treasures, complimentary cocktails and personalized makeup tips from a crew of on-point artists) to chat about how to get that perfectly glowing and ultimately glam NYE look.
- For New Years Eve, use the ‘Disco Eye,’ my go-to party eye, from my Instant Eye Palette, which has been in the making for 25 years. With this palette, I wanted to create an eye makeup wardrobe for every occasion for every woman from 18-80, inspired by the shoots, covers and red carpet looks that I have done over my career. I wanted to pour my “smoky eye til’ I die” legacy into this four easy classic looks-in-one. Each look – from day to desk to date to disco – has been pressed to only release a certain amount of formula on your brush from the first stroke. The pressure-pressing is my way of controlling the finish according to each of your looks. You can still layer the powders like beautiful chiffon, but I will be there to help you, every brush of the way! The contrast of black and molten gold layered together make for a dramatic 70s rock look.
- You can go even more intense for an amped-up, Versace-inspired glam look. Pair with my Rock ‘N’ Kohl Eye Liner in Bedroom Black ($27) and follow with my Full Fat Lashes Mascara in Glossy Black ($29). ALL eyes will be on you!
- Apply my Cheek to Chic Blusher in Ecstasy, a gorgeous peach pink, to achieve a limitless glow.
- By using my Lip Cheat Lip Liner in Iconic Nude, the ultimate nude lip liner, to reshape, redefine and resize your lips.
- Finish with my Hollywood Lips Matte Lipstick in Rising Star for a plumped-up luminous pout in a gorgeous warm pink shade.
