The Eden Room at Park Tavern

The Eden Room, upstairs at Park Tavern, is the most beautiful private dining room in SF. It was designed by Ken Fulk and features custom golden chinoiserie wallpaper by de Gourney. The white and gold color palette and gallery wall of vintage art make it a luxurious and elegant place to host a dinner. It holds up to 50 guests for a seated meal and 80 for a reception.

The Wine Cellar at Quince

If the Eden Room is the prettiest private dining space, the wine cellar at Quince is the most posh. It has a view of the restaurant’s wine vault and is swathed in silk drapery. The lighting is low and the atmosphere intimate. The dining table seats 18; note that reception style events are not an option, but you can work with chef Michael Tusk to create the perfect menu for your party.

The Test Kitchen at Flour + Water

The test kitchen at Flour + Water is just that: a kitchen above the restaurant where chef Thomas McNaughton refines his recipes. It stores culinary equipment and McNaughton’s extensive collection of cookbooks. At night, the space is available for private dinners. Up to 14 people can relish a meal of artisanal charcuterie, pasta, and pizza.

The Back Room at Tosca Cafe

A couple of years ago when Beyonce and Jay-Z were in town, they hosted a party in the back room at Tosca Cafe. The space has long been an infamous hot spot for legendary events attended by actors, politicians, and socialites. The decor is eclectic: framed photos line the walls, the tiled floor is red and black checkerboard, and the tables are shiny and wooden. Up to 22 people can savor a sit down dinner and 35 will fit for a cocktail-style reception.

The Chef’s Table at Octavia

Foodies will enjoy the chef’s table at Octavia. The table is in the kitchen, so guests will experience the hustle and bustle of a working restaurant’s daily service. Interact with chefs as they make your family style meal, curated by chef Melissa Perello. The table seats 12 people and a special selection of wine pairings is available.

The Billards Room at Wayfare Tavern

Up to 16 people can be accommodated in the billards room at Wayfare Tavern. It has a vintage red felt pool table and flat screen television, so if watching a sporting event is on your agenda, this is the ideal place to host your party. Chef Tyler Florence will craft a menu of family style favorites, bar bites, and more.
