Weekend Roundup: Inside the Hottest Party of Coachella 2017

There were dozens of parties at Coachella 2017, but none was hotter than Neon Carnival. The event, which returned April 15 for an eighth consecutive year to Thermal, California, was an invite-only outdoors dance fête that featured new amusement park rides, games, photobooths and return appearances from the biggest names in brands and entertainment.

Neon Carnival, as presented by Levi’s, is widely recognized as one of the most coveted afterparties of the year and brainchild of famed LA nightlife maven Brent Bolthouse, always securing the best and most substantial guest list and a door that’s tighter than Fort Knox.

A-list guests at the shindig included Leonardo DiCaprio, Drake, Rihanna, Selena Gomez, Diddy, Jamie Foxx, Aaron Paul, Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas, Nina Dobrev, Alessandra Ambrosio, Vin Diesel, Zedd, Ryan Phillipe, Halsey, French Montana, Future, Taylor Hill, Sara Sampio, Jasmine Tookes, Joan Smalls, Michael Pena, G-Eazy, Gucci Mane, Alesso, Quincy Brown, Christina Milian, Scott Eastwood, Jhene Aiko, Kat Graham, Tove Lo, Tinashe, Cassie, Alexander Wang, Akon, Ashley Greene, Sophie Turner, Danny Masterson, Leona Lewis, Ryan Destiny, TY Dolla $ign and many more.

Tequila Don Julio returned for the third year in a row to pour specialty drinks from the Airstream Speakeasy and provided Don Julio 1942 bottle service for VIP tables, including a special debut of their new Magnum Don Julio 1942 bottle. Entry into the festival after party was granted with more than just a Neon Carnival wristband; guests also received a new, one-of-a-kind Lokai bracelet that was presented for admittance. Batiste Dry Shampoo hosted on-site hair styling stations and offered samples to attendees seeking a quick hair refresh. Tinder paired festivalgoers with new matches on their bumper car ride. Partygoers were drawn to Las Vegas nightlife leader Wynn Nightlife’s branded VIP area which featured a giant custom art mural for social media. Hollywood heavy hitter DJ’s including Kayper, DJ Politik, Jesse Marco and DJ Ruckus kept partygoers dancing with performances that lasted into the early morning hours.

Inside the party, Aaron Paul held court a table with wife Lauren, Drake palled around with French Montana at a VIP table and Selena Gomez made a late entrance but still had enough time to catch up fwith friends including Drake, French Montana, Diddy, Cassie, Belly and Nicole Scherzinger. Leonardo DiCaprio and his crew were among the last to leave the star-studded fete.

Elsewhere, G-Eazy, Drake, French Montana, Diddy, Wale, Cassie and Belly toasted the night with a bottle of 1942 Tequila Don Julio at a packed table in the middle of the dance floor, Vin Diesel celebrated the success of his recent Fate of the Furious film, arriving early in the night as DJ Ruckus got the party going, Alessandra Ambrosio took a ride down the Tequila Don Julio giant slide with her girlfriends and Zedd was the first on the Lokai Ferris Wheel before heading straight for the Tinder bumper cars.
