Earlier this week Tiffany & Co. hosted a party called Make the World Sparkle in honor of the upcoming season of the San Francisco Ballet. The jeweler is the main sponsor for the 2017 Opening Night Gala, which takes place on Thursday, January 19. The opening night gala chairs, Avé Seltsam and Meg Ray, were at the event along with Tom Carroll, Tiffany’s vice president. Despite the fact that the boutique is currently undergoing a renovation, guests were able to mingle and browse the beautiful jewels that were on display. Once the remodel is complete, the store will have 3,053 more square feet to showcase a wider assortment of its collections.

The new design features marble and wood flooring, pale blue walls with gold paneling, and plenty of well-lit glass jewelry cases. The staircase that leads to the upstairs is grand and inviting. One of the things that makes the space unique is the second floor’s outdoor patio area. The large patio has lounge seating with marble tables, potted plants, and white and green cushions. The glass walls that lead to the patio allow for the brand’s engagement rings to be viewed in natural light. “The new design is much more spacious and allows for a more intimate environment for our clients to consider a beautiful Tiffany & Co. piece of jewelry as they celebrate the most important occasions of their lives,” Carroll told Haute Living. “It is also a much more luxurious space and allows us to be more attentive. Most importantly, our multi-million dollar complete store renovation allows us to say thank to all of our clients for their generous support of our business.”

Guests crowded into the smaller downstairs area before realizing that upstairs was spacious and filled with jewelry. The champagne flowed and passed appetizers, like rolls of smoked salmon and sweet potato and spinach puffs, were snacked on by the stylishly chic group. While shopping the jewels, ballet lovers discussed the upcoming season which will feature eight different programs including three story ballets, Cinderella, Swan Lake, and the American premiere of Liam Scarlett’s Frankenstein. Notable attendees at the soiree included Dede Wilsey, OJ Shansby, Rosemary Baker, Jack Calhoun, Navid Armstrong, Carolyn Chandler, Allison Speer, and Deepa Pakathanian.
