Sunday was an exciting evening at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, especially for HBO, whose shows Veep and Game of Thrones swept the two top categories: Outstanding Comedy and Outstanding Drama Series, respectively, at the 2016 Emmy Awards. The latter, in particular, had its biggest night ever, breaking the record for the highest number of Emmys won by a fictional series with 38 after three wins on Sunday, surpassing Frasier‘s previous record.
