This year’s Destination Fashion is upon us and ready to showcase high fashion, sneak peek previews of the Brunello Cucinelli Spring 2016 Collection and entertainment from Grammy award winner Pitbull at the Bal Harbour Shops. Presented by Swanee and Paul DiMare, Destination Fashion benefits the Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis, the fundraising arm of The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis. The event will draw in celebrity attendees including Honorary Co-Chairs Gloria and Emilio Estefan, Academy Award Winner Tommy Lee Jones and wife Dawn Jones and Golden Globe Winner Christian Slater with wife Brittany Slater. Co-Anchor of NBC’s Today Show Savannah Guthrie will serve as the emcee for the event.

On Saturday March 5th, the beloved Bal Harbour shops will close its doors (for the only time in its history) for the highly anticipated affair. The progressive party will showcase the fashion trends, movies, television and entertainment through the decades: from the 60s to the 2000s. Guests will also witness the 2016 Women of Substance flaunt the newest trends down the runway along with celebrity presenters.

Partygoers can bid on dazzling diamonds and jewels, valued from $5,000 to $27,000, donated from the Bal Harbour boutique shops during the “Too Good to Be Silent” auction. Expect competitive bidding for these highly desired pieces, especially the Happy Diamonds Chopard timepiece in Rose Gold and diamonds, an evening with Chopard at the 2017 Oscars, and the 18K White Gold and Diamonds Atlas Bangle from Tiffany & Co.
Destination Fashion will see The Buoniconti Fund salute its 2016 Women of Substance & Style and also include the presentation of the Presenting Sponsor Award to Swanee and Paul DiMare; Humanitarian Award to Stanley Whitman, Randy Whitman and Matthew Whitman Lazenby; The Christine E. Lynn Champion for a Cure Award to Micky and Madeleine Arison; The Outstanding Philanthropists Award to Gloria and Emilio Estefan; and The Miami Project Spirit of Giving Award to Edie Laquer.
