Haute 100 SF: What Did Stephen & Ayesha Curry Name Their New Daughter?
Congratulations are in order for NBA champion as well as the league’s most valuable player Stephen Curry and wife Ayesha Curry as they welcome the newest addition to their family.
On Sunday, July 12th, Ayesha tweeted an announcement saying, “Our second little girl has arrived! Here is a quick update! Thank you for the well wishes and prayers.”
The proud mother-of-two also announced via her personal blog she was currently enjoying the “present.”
In her blog post she wrote, “God is amazing. The gift of life is truly an indescribable thing. We were fortunate enough to experience it all over again friday night! Our beautiful little Ryan Carson Curry arrived perfectly healthy and happy! She arrived a little early through a quick 3 hour labor and was a small 6lbs 1 oz. I was able to birth her naturally without an epidural. This is something I’ve always wanted to do and was so happy to get through it with the help of my darling husband and amazing doctor. This time around I felt more prepared and was able to take in the entire process. It was a miracle!”
She continued, “Stephen, Riley and I are enjoying this gorgeous gift from God and basking in the present! We are now officially a family of 4! Riley is completely enamored with her little sister and has taken on her role as big sister beautifully. I am already so proud of her! I just wanted to give you all an update and ask you to keep us in your prayers as we adjust to our new little family.”
While Stephen wasn’t as detailed, the basketball player tweeted, “My wife is a champ.”
Just a few weeks ago, we reported details from the Currys’ baby shower and baby Ryan’s nursery, which featured neutral, light and airy designs as well as organic bedding, a custom-made changing station and more by Pottery Barn.
Stephen will, once again, go up against LeBron James as well as JJ Watt and Aaron Rodgers for the best male athlete award at the ESPYs.
This has been an incredible year for the Currys.
