Designer John Varvatos managed to close down Melrose Avenue at Robertson on Sunday (no mean feat, to be sure) in the name of charity at his 12th annual Stuart House benefit.

The event, hosted by Chris Pine, raised $957,000 for Stuart House—the UCLA Rape Treatment Center’s internationally recognized model program serving sexually abused children.

After the star-studded red carpet arrivals Varvatos and Gail Abarbanel, the Founder and Director of Stuart House, took center stage to welcome the event’s guests, share the charity’s accomplishments and introduce Honorary Chair Pine.

“At the end of the day, all charities need funds.  John Varvatos has put his might behind an important cause and I’m happy to come out and support,” said the Star Trek actor.
