Gen Art New Garde Fashion Show Hosted by Entourage Star Emmanuelle Chriqui

News | February 10, 2012

Rebecca Taylor, Philip Lim and Rodarte are some of the brands that come to mind when naming the top designers on the fashion ladder. But what some may not know is that these designers, along with a string of other highly successful designers, began their careers with Gen Art.

Since 1995, Gen Art has supported up-and-coming artists in every form; including those in fashion, film and music. Some 500 emerging designers have found their place in the industry through Gen Art.

Tonight, Entourage star Emmanuelle Chriqui hosted Gen Art’s annual New Garde fashion show, presented by Crest 3D White. Held at Exit Art on 10th Avenue, the evening showcased the F/W 2012 collections of Gemma Kahng, Samantha Pleet and William Okpo. To boot, Gen Art alumna and reality TV star Whitney Port welcomed attendees with a celebratory speech that reflected on her first years as a designer, graciously crediting Gen Art for helping her get to where she is today.
