Lip augmentation with hyaluronic acid filler is one of the most popular cosmetic procedures — and one of the most frequently done poorly. Done well by an experienced injector, lip filler produces natural-looking enhancement that preserves lip structure and expression. Done poorly, it produces the "duck lips" or overfilled appearance that has become a cautionary aesthetic. The difference lies in the injector's skill, aesthetic philosophy, and the amount of product used.
