He earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Oklahoma City University. Newland has been practicing since 2013 (admitted in Texas) and has been admitted to the Colorado bar since 2018. He is licensed in the courts of Texas and Colorado, admitted before the United States Supreme Court, and holds admission in nine federal circuit courts of appeals and more than a dozen federal district courts across the country.
