    Editorial & Verification Standards

How Haute Lawyer Network selects, verifies, and presents attorney members — and what that means for attorneys and the clients who find them here.

    Section 1

    What Haute Lawyer Is

Haute Lawyer Network is an invitation-only attorney visibility platform by Haute Living — a Google News-indexed luxury media publication with 20 years of publishing history. The platform provides selected attorneys with search-optimized profiles, editorial features, and AI-readable professional presence on HauteLiving.com. Haute Lawyer is not a legal referral service, a lead generation platform, or a traditional legal directory. It is an editorial visibility network for distinguished attorneys.

Section 2 · What Is Verified

Verified by the Haute Living editorial team

    • Bar admission status in the attorney's declared jurisdiction
    • Firm affiliation and current professional status
    • Practice area declarations reviewed for accuracy
    • Professional links verified as active and accurate
    • Editorial features written by Haute Living's editorial team — not submitted by the attorney

    Section 3 · What Is Self-Submitted

    Submitted by member attorneys

    • Biography and professional background narrative
    • Awards, recognitions, and publications listed on the profile
    • Representative matters and case descriptions (reviewed for compliance)
    • Photos and headshots
    • FAQs submitted through the member dashboard

Section 4 · Paid Membership Disclosure

Attorneys featured on Haute Lawyer Network are members of a paid editorial visibility program. Membership fees support editorial production, profile optimization, Google News publishing, AI visibility auditing, and technical maintenance. Paid membership does not influence editorial content.

Section 8 · Bar Status Verification — What We Check

As part of the editorial review process, Haute Lawyer verifies that each attorney holds a current, active bar license in the state or states where they declare they practice. Verification is performed by checking the attorney's name against their state bar's public attorney search database. We verify: active license status, that the name and firm match the application, and that there are no publicly listed active disciplinary proceedings at the time of review. We do not independently verify the completeness of bar association disciplinary records beyond publicly accessible search results.

Section 9 · Disciplinary Review — What We Do and Do Not Check

Haute Lawyer conducts a publicly available disciplinary check as part of the editorial review process. We review publicly accessible records from the attorney's declared state bar. We do not accept attorneys with active disciplinary proceedings or publicly listed suspensions at the time of review. We do not have access to non-public bar records, sealed proceedings, or records from jurisdictions where the attorney is not an active member. Users should independently check disciplinary history at their state bar's official website before retaining any attorney.

Section 10 · Advertising and Paid Membership Disclosure

Haute Lawyer Network is a paid editorial visibility platform. Attorneys pay a membership fee to be featured on HauteLiving.com. This constitutes advertising under applicable bar rules in some jurisdictions. Haute Lawyer complies with applicable attorney advertising rules by: (1) not making unverified claims about attorney results or case outcomes; (2) including the required disclaimer that past results do not guarantee future outcomes; (3) clearly disclosing the paid nature of membership on this page and throughout the platform; (4) not representing membership as an independent endorsement, ranking, or award.

Section 11 · Profile Dispute Policy

If an attorney believes their profile contains inaccurate information that Haute Lawyer has not corrected after a correction request, the attorney may escalate the dispute by emailing members@hauteleaders.com with the subject line "Profile Dispute — [Attorney Name]." We will review disputed information within 10 business days. If we cannot verify the disputed information independently, we will either correct it or add a note indicating the information is under review. Attorneys who are not members of Haute Lawyer and wish to request removal of any information about them from this platform should contact members@hauteleaders.com.
