    Biography

Richard "Scott" Van Dyke is the founder and Managing Shareholder of Van Dyke & Associates, APLC, a San Diego boutique law firm that concentrates exclusively on trust, probate, and estate litigation. For more than 25 years, his practice has been limited to the litigation, trial, and appeals of contested probate and fiduciary matters, including will and trust contests based on lack of capacity, undue influence, and fraud, as well as trustee removal, contested accountings, and breach of fiduciary duty claims. He has represented beneficiaries, trustees, corporate and private fiduciaries, receivers, and other interested parties in matters across California, and has developed a particular emphasis on forensic analysis and asset recovery in cases involving financial elder abuse. Van Dyke earned his J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 1996 and a B.S. from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 1985. He is admitted to the State Bar of California (Bar No. 196753), the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Central Districts of California, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
