Kevin H. Brogan

Kevin Brogan is a nationally recognized trial lawyer known for his success in eminent domain, inverse condemnation, and complex real property litigation involving high-value valuation disputes. With a career spanning major verdicts and landmark cases, he represents a wide spectrum of clients — from multinational corporations to individual business and property owners — including retail centers, industrial facilities, hotels, office buildings, apartment properties, and oil and gas assets.

A respected authority in the field, Kevin authors and continuously updates the California Chapter of the American Bar Association's leading treatise, The Law of Eminent Domain — a role that has solidified his reputation as one of the foremost eminent domain lawyers in the country.

Kevin earned his finance major and real estate minor at the University of California, Berkeley, before receiving his J.D. from University of California College of the Law, San Francisco. He began his legal career clerking for the late Hon. Oliver Seth, Chief Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.

Kevin is deeply committed to community leadership. His long-standing involvement with Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) includes serving as Chairperson of the Board of Directors (2022–2025), Foundation Board of Trustees Chair (2017–2022), and Board of Directors Member (2017–2025). He continues to serve on the CHLA Foundation Board of Trustees. A former member of Cal's Rugby Team, he sits on the California Rugby Advisory Board and has spent many years coaching youth rugby, baseball, and soccer.

Kevin's interest in eminent domain runs generations deep. In the late 1800s, the Santa Fe Railroad condemned a right-of-way across his great-great-grandparents' ranch in Las Lunas, New Mexico. As compensation, his family received a New England Colonial–style adobe home — a structure that still stands today. This personal history adds meaningful depth to his lifelong dedication to property rights and valuation law.
