Frederic J. Siegel

Frederic J. Siegel has devoted more than 43 years to exclusively practicing matrimonial and family law. He founded Siegel, Colin & Kaufman, P.C. and serves as its managing partner, guiding clients through divorce, child custody, asset division, spousal support, and prenuptial agreement matters. His experience encompasses complex high-net-worth cases and high-profile divorces throughout Connecticut and surrounding jurisdictions.

Attorney Siegel specializes in divorce and legal separation, child custody and visitation, child support, alimony and spousal support, property and asset division, high-net-worth divorce litigation, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, divorce mediation, and family law appeals. He has particular expertise in cases involving substantial assets, complex business interests, and high-profile individuals.

Mr. Siegel is licensed to practice law in Connecticut (admitted 1990) and New York (admitted 1983). He is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court (1990) and federal district courts in both the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

He is also a Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers (IAFL) and currently serves as President-Elect of the USA Chapter. The AAML has certified him as a divorce mediator. He is active with the Family Law Sections of the American Bar Association and New York State Bar Association.
